For attorneys licensed in Colorado who have Wyoming needs, we have handled hundreds of cases in both the state and federal courts in Wyoming. This includes acting as lead counsel in over 100 cases prosecuted in the United States District Court for the District of Wyoming. Mr. Pickering is a native of Wyoming and served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable James E. Barrett of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and was the first federal judicial law clerk for the Honorable Alan B. Johnson of the United States District Court for the District of Wyoming. He practiced in Cheyenne, Wyoming full time from 1981 to 1995. About significant portion of Mr. Pickering's current practice involves cases in which he is lead or local counsel in Wyoming. Mr. Jouard is a graduate of the University of Wyoming and has argued cases before the Supreme Court of Wyoming, acted a lead counsel in cases in the District Courts of Wyoming, and in the United States District Court for the District of Wyoming. Both attorneys are members of the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association.

For attorneys licensed in Wyoming who have Colorado needs, we, too, pride ourselves in acting an experienced co-counsel for our friends in Wyoming. Mr. Jouard has well over 25 years of Colorado experience and devotes the vast majority of his practice to Colorado trial work. He has argued several cases before the Supreme Court of Colorado, a number of cases before the Colorado Court of Appeals, and tried many more cases to juries in the District Courts in Colorado. He has served as lead counsel in a number of significant cases prosecuted in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. Mr. Jouard's ground breaking case of Colo. Comp. Ins. Auth. v. Jorgensen, 992 P.2d. 1156 (Colo. 2000) has helped thousands of injured workers provide for their futures. Mr. Jouard has specialized experienced in insurance coverage issues. Mr. Pickering has served as a Director for the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and Co-Chair of its Amicus Committee. He is a Colorado Super Lawyer and Top 100 Trial Lawyers-Colorado designee. He has both Colorado federal and state court lead counsel experience in a variety of cases. Both Mr. Jouard and Mr. Pickering are members of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association.
