Mr. Jouard has received the highest legal ability peer review rating of "Preeminent" awarded to lawyers. He is listed in the 2007 Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers-Personal Injury Lawyers. Mr. Jouard specializes in all aspects of trial work and has argued a number of appeals in various federal courts of appeals and state intermediate and supreme courts.

Mr. Jouard, a native of Boulder, Colorado, graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado and obtained his juris doctorate from the University of Wyoming. While in law school, Mr. Jouard co-authored Establishing the Tort of Bad Faith in Wyoming for the Land and Water Law Review.

During the first 5 years of his career, Mr. Jouard worked for insurance companies and corporations, where he got an insider's view of how insurance companies evaluate and handle claims. Having assisted in defending hundreds of cases on behalf of insurance companies and corporations, he fully understands the corporate perspective on claims handling and trying cases against victims of personal injuries in Colorado and Wyoming. For the last 17 years, he has exclusively represented people and their families against large corporations and insurance companies.

Mr. Jouard is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association. He is licensed to practice in all of the state and federal courts in Colorado and Wyoming.

Mr. Jouard represents clients who have suffered serious injuries or from the death of a loved one from construction and industrial accidents; farm and ranch equipment; dangerous premises; gas explosions; electrocution and shock injuries; truck and automobile collisions; medical and hospital negligence; failure to diagnose cancer cases; pathology and laboratory negligence; and other causes. He has particular expertise in bad faith insurance practices, insurance coverage issues, uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, health and life insurance claims, workers compensation, subrogation and lien issues; breach of contract; and other business cases. Mr. Jouard has taught other lawyers in seminars devoted to workers compensation, personal injury and insurance issues.
